Budget
The Payson Unified School District Business Office manages a $14+ million dollar Maintenance and Operations budget, an additional $11 million in federal, state, local and private grants and all capital funds, debt service, donations and fees. The latest independent audit performed by Clifton Larson Allen, LLP PC, noted that the District’s financial position is “presented fairly and in all material respects.”

Classroom Site Fund
When voters approved Proposition 301 in November 2000, a special Classroom Site Fund was set up to receive the additional sales tax revenue that was earmarked for education, primarily to increase teacher pay. The Report to the Arizona Legislature provides information on how much revenue school districts spend on classroom personnel, instructional supplies and aids, field trips, co-curricular activities and athletics.
