2023-24
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Rim Country Middle School! We are very excited as we head into a new school year! We are excited to have our classrooms and hallways filled with the student’s energy and enthusiasm for learning. The last few years differed from any school years any of us have ever experienced. The safety and health of our students are still our number one priority and we will continue to ensure we are doing everything we can for our students and staff. It is our mission to ensure that every student feels safe, welcomed, connected, and a part of RCMS. We want to challenge every student to grow in their academic abilities and to have skills to be able to move up and be successful. In all of our class offerings from sixth through eighth grade, we will continue to work to give students rigorous and relevant learning opportunities in every classroom, every day! I believe that ALL students deserve the opportunity to be successful in their education and obtain the tools to have a bright future.
I graduated from New Mexico State University with my bachelor’s degree in Agriculture education and extension and then earned my master’s degree in educational administration through Grand Canyon University. I am native to Payson and graduated from Payson High School. I am happy to be able to give back to the community that sparked my love for education. Like always once a Longhorn always a Longhorn!!
It’s great to be a LONGHORN!!

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. I am Dr. Jennifer Murphy and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Rim Country Middle School. This will be my 21st year as an educator; I am a native to Arizona and grew up in the Valley of the Sun! I attended Northern Arizona University where I completed a dual major in Special Education and Elementary Education. Soon after I obtained my masters degree in School Administration and recently I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. I have taught special education within the high school setting grades 9-12 and most recently served as a Student Services Coordinator within the Tempe Union High School District. I am excited to be a part of the Longhorn family, build relationships, and partner as a team to enhance student learning and growth.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer L.H. Murphy
