PRESCHOOL CLASSROOMS

Our play-based program is aligned with the Arizona Department of Education Early Learning Standards, with a focus on critical thinking skills and social/emotional development. Thematic units are explored by students using a variety of learning styles and modalities, which in turn, ignites curiosity and encourages sustained attention. The program is supplemented using Fundations. Typically developing peers and those with special needs work together and grow in one inclusive environment. Those typically developing peers will have tuition due each month which is ($250) due the first of the month. There are a limited number of scholarships available as well as DES funding.

SCREENINGS

Lil’ Longhorns offers free screenings for any speech or special education concerns by request once a month for children between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 5 years old that are not yet eligible for kindergarten. Children that receive a referral after the screening will be scheduled for further evaluation. These evaluations are to determine preschool eligibility. Children that do not receive a referral are eligible to be a tuition based student in the all-inclusive preschool program.

EVALUATIONS

Comprehensive Developmental Assessments are conducted to determine Preschool eligibility, present levels of performance and to assist in placement decisions made by the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team.
