Kristy Schwartz started working for PUSD in July of 2024 as a Special Education Teacher. Kristy was born into education having both her parents teaching on the Navajo Indian Reservation. This is Kristy’s first year as a teacher. She comes from the medical field specializing in Hospice and Elder care. She also has over 30 years of coaching volleyball and softball, 17 years officiating both sports, 2 years in education as a kindergarten aide and half a year as a self contained paraprofessional while working on completing her special education degree last May. In her free time Kristy enjoys traveling, the outdoors, gardening, and her grandboys. She is enjoying her new position at PES and hopes to finish her career as a Longhorn staff member.
