Leslie is part of the 2nd-3rd grade looping teamShe started teaching in Bloomington, Indiana in 2003, and here in Payson, Az in 2016.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting from Northern Arizona University in 1987, then worked in the Television business for 10 years in California. She then moved to Indiana, where she worked and edited news promotions, until she went back to college, at Indiana University, for her teaching certification in Elementary Education in 2003. Leslie continued her education and received her Masters degree in Elementary Education in 2006.

Leslie is a mother of 4, but her youngest daughter is in college, her other three (2 boys and a girl) are raised and on their own. She has been happily married to her husband for over 25 years. They have one dog named Solo and her college daughter’s dog named Nova. They love living here in Payson, especially the weather. She loves doing things outdoors, hiking, walking, swimming (or laying out) skiing, golfing, grilling, and sitting by the firepit.
An interesting fact about Leslie is that she has been on TV - The Tonight Show when Jay Leno hosted on Monday nights. She was the audience helper handing out envelopes with different awards. They interviewed her for a short time to ask how she began at NBC and the Tonight Show.

PUSD Air quality - Horton Fire Smoke

Due to the heavy smoke in the area from the Horton Fire PUSD will be calling a Red Flag morning for the week of January 6th through the 9th, 2025. This will be in place till 10:15 a.m. each morning.
This means that P.U.S.D. faculty and staff will work to bring students indoors during this time and there will be no outside morning recess.
