Tamara Fowler has been a teacher in the Payson School District since 2017. She served as the English Department Chair in the 2019/2020, 2020/2021, and 2023/2024 school years. She has taught each of the grade levels over the years. In addition, she teaches English dual-credit college classes on the PHS campus. She received a B.A. in English with an emphasis in linguistics from California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California in 2007. She also received an M.A. in English with an emphasis on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from CSU, East Bay in 2009. She loves learning and also received her K-12 teaching certifications in English, Special Education for students with mild to moderate disabilities, and Math through the University of West Florida in 2017. She previously taught English at various school levels ranging from elementary through university level. including teaching English overseas for 5 years in South Korea. She loves to travel, enjoy time in the outdoors, eat a variety of foods, and experience the cultures of the world.
