District Office

Dr. Johnson-Heston, PsyD is a nationally certified school psychologist and has a doctorate in psychology (PsyD) degree. She has been a school psychologist since 2008 and has worked with preschool through high school students. She has also worked as an autism evaluator. She went through a 6 month training program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for administering assessments used for Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also has extensive training in ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. Dr Johnson-Heston’s “why” involves conducting comprehensive evaluations, providing mentorship and helping individuals find happiness. Dr Johnson-Heston’s parents were both public school teachers. They instilled the importance of connecting with students and building meaningful relationships. Dr. Johnson uses positive psychology and mindfulness to help find solutions and link students’ strengths to help areas of weakness. In her free time, she loves to spend time at the beach and with her family. She is also a “Swiftie” and has taken her daughter to every concert!

Credit for Kids

PUSD Air quality - Horton Fire Smoke

Due to the heavy smoke in the area from the Horton Fire PUSD will be calling a Red Flag morning for the week of January 6th through the 9th, 2025. This will be in place till 10:15 a.m. each morning.
This means that P.U.S.D. faculty and staff will work to bring students indoors during this time and there will be no outside morning recess.
