PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to Julia Randall Elementary School!

On behalf of the entire staff at Julia Randall Elementary School (JRE), I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant community of learners. We are excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to partnering with you to help develop well-rounded students who are inspired to EXCEL.

Julia Randall Elementary is proud to be a Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) National Showcase school! Through CKH, we have cultivated an environment of high achievement, grounded in strong and supportive staff-student relationships. As partners in your child’s education, there are several ways you can help support their academic success:

  • Establish consistent morning, bedtime, and homework routines.
  • Set high expectations for your child’s future, reinforcing that no matter what they aspire to be, they can be the best in that field.
  • Encourage regular school attendance: Be at school every day you’re healthy, on time, and ready to learn.
  • Stay connected with your child’s teacher to stay informed and engaged.
  • Read together—read, read, read!

At JRE, we offer a wide range of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of our students. In addition to our third, fourth, and fifth-grade classrooms, JRE also provides special education preschool classes and a CKH Room, where students can take a break when needed to reset and refocus. Our afterschool clubs offer something for everyone, from fly fishing and student government to various music programs, ensuring that all students can explore their passions.

We believe that a strong partnership between school staff, families, and the community is the key to student success. By fostering open communication, mutual trust and respect, and setting high expectations for growth, there are no limits to what we can achieve together for our JRE students.

Here’s to a fantastic year of learning and growth!

Sincerely,

Kim Yates, M.Ed.
